OUR STORY

CITADEL PROPERTY SERVICES, INC. was founded on the premise that property owners in Southern Maine, especially owners of seasonal estates, have limited time to manage the day-to-day nuances and maintenance of their homes.  The task of finding reliable contractors to service, repair and remodel their estate can consume hours of valuable time, which could be spent enjoying the things that matter most, family and friends.

Since our inception, we have evolved into a respected industry leader known for managing our clients’ estates with integrity and an ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive managerial services that meet the unique needs of our clients.

At Citadel Property Service, we strongly believe that success is a team effort and realize that our staff plays a vital role in the success of our company.  We attribute our success to the highly talented members of our team and their ongoing commitment to providing the absolute best to our clients.

Dionna Leonards

CEO & Founder

CITADEL PROPERTY SERVICES, INC. is the outgrowth of Superior Cleaning Services, a self-managed cleaning business developed in 2008 by Dionna Leonards. Superior was initially designed to meet the housekeeping needs of both seasonal and year-round residents in the southern coastal region of Maine. Ms. Leonards, the sole proprietor, became quickly recognized by patrons for her energy, committedness, and attention to detail.

As Superior grew, Ms. Leonards became increasingly acknowledged as someone with technical abilities that went far beyond simple cleaning. With more than 20 years experience in the building trades and real estate, she found herself being asked by an expanding clientele for opinion and assistance with more diverse property challenges, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical and related matters. She has also identified and helped to resolve zoning matters, code enforcement issues and real estate considerations. It was thus only a matter of time before Superior Cleaning Services would expand into a more diverse entity, now incorporated as Citadel Property Services.

In a business long dominated by men, Ms. Leonards has earned respect from both property owners and sub-contractors alike. Nurturing relationships with local building trades has enabled customer problems being addressed in an exceptionally timely fashion. These include annoyances which, as in “Murpheys-law,” tend to crop up after hours, on weekends, or, worse yet, moments before the arrival of important guests.

A key to Ms. Leonards’ success is the unflinching priority she has ascribed to her customers. As can be seen in her testimonials, she is highly valued for her trustworthiness, dedication and resolve. She also has a reputation for negotiating cost-effective deals favoring her customer, and an unshakeable commitment to holding a sub-contractor or retailer accountable for their product or their promised delivery of quality services.

Ms. Leonards’ ability to manage the complexities of large, residential and/or recreational (2nd) homes comes from:

  • B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Maine;

  • Real estate licensure (currently inactive);

  • 10 years managing a drywall business;

  • Negotiation of complex commercial real estate transactions with the Maine Department of Transportation;

  • Serving as general contractor in the construction of several large residential projects and home;

  • 11 years of owning and operating the largest K-9 Security Company throughout the Tri-State Metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut), which included K9 training for General Dynamics.
